Lanzarote - Lanzarote Golf
Lanzarote is a golf course designed by Ron Kirby and opened in 2008. It enjoys spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and traditional landscapes of Lanzarote.
It is a Par 72 course links-without trees and moderately undulated. They have respected the natural slopes of the area. It is suitable for all the handicaps, but two of the main difficulties are the wind and the volcanic lava. When the wind blows, the course become more complicated, especially the back nine holes. If you lose the fairway and the rough, your ball will rest on volcanic gravel ("Picón") and to avoid damaging your clubs, you may drop or hit with an old stick...
There are two types of bunkers: rock or sand (white, silica). You have to pay attention.
On the tees, fairways and rough, the grass is Bermuda variety and the greens are Agrostis variety.
It is a course suitable for all the handicaps, with spectacular views of the sea and play with buggy is highly recommended.
